SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. I Peter 4:10
Calvary provides a wide range of opportunities to serve God. Some are ongoing activities such as the nursing home ministry and the prison ministry. We also participate in the Angel Tree Program and the Open Door Pregnancy Center. Other opportunities to serve are less formal—sometimes even spontaneous—such as driving someone to the hospital or collecting needed items for refugees or disaster victims. There are also ample opportunities for care-giving—from cleaning a house or providing a meal for someone who is ill to lending a listening ear to someone who is hurting. It is a privilege to be able to serve God, even in the most humble task.
